Animal Sciences Training and Career Prospects

Animals are multicellular, nonheterogeneous organisms in the animal Kingdom. In fact, all of Earth’s life is made up of animals. Breathe air, take in food, get oxygen, can reproduce, move, reproduce, and secrete waste material. Animals can be classified into vertebrates, unicellular protists (bacteria), and insects. All other animals are anoplans, meaning they have a single organ and possess no external appendages.

Mammalian animals are not animal cells themselves; rather, they are the host of the animal cell. The majority of mammals are placental, meaning that their young never leave the egg because they are born as a baby. Some marsupials are marsupials; they are born with a pouch on their back where they develop until they are ready to leave the pouch and molt into adulthood. marsupials are also diploid, meaning their cell walls are constructed very tightly together. marsupials are classified as placental mammals because their offspring do not need a placenta to continue developing.

Most animals have one set of sex cells called a zygote. When the zygote is released from an animal’s egg it forms a single germ cell. Germ cells are sexual or asexual reproduction machines that multiply by division and divide again quickly. Animals have sex cells that reproduce both sexually and aseptically.

The major components of animal sciences and agriculture include nutritional value of the plant products (farming), the reproductive process, and the soil (agriculture). The nutritional value refers to the elements found in animals (especially meat) and the plants they are fed. A well-balanced diet is essential for a healthy population of animals and humans.

Animal foods must be rich in protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and various secondary elements such as fiber. There is controversy about whether certain animal proteins are beneficial or harmful for the diet. A diet rich in animal proteins should be low in saturated fats and calories. The calories come mostly from meat, dairy products, poultry, fish and eggs whereas fats come mainly from pork, beef, dairy products and poultry. Saturated fats increase cholesterol and blood glucose levels, which may lead to obesity, cardiovascular disease and certain types of cancer.

Agricultural jobs involve working with cattle, poultry, fish, horticulture, fruit production etc. Livestock is usually a group of creatures that includes horse, pony, ox, chicken, goat, rat, bird etc. In today’s world it is impossible for an individual to eat all the natural, fresh food available. This is why animal sciences training is extremely important for professionals who want to enter the animal sciences professions. As long as there is life on earth, there will be animal agriculture and animal processing, farming and other animal-related businesses.
